Little Night Terrors Interview

Little Night Terrors are another great band which are trying to take on the big boys in the chart. These lads are trying to fight off Noel Gallagher, The Vaccines, Lana Del Rey  and there's no reason why they shouldn't be up there with them. Producing a great classic indie sound as good as any you hear on the radio, go on lads!

Hi Little Night Terrors your very new to us, how long have you been going and how did you meet?

Pleasure to meet you too, me (Andy), Dan and Bone have been playing together since around September last year. Me & Bone are brothers, and Dan sent us Youtube videos of him playing bass so we got him in.

What made you think of starting the band? How would you describe your music?

We’ve all played in bands before, but I’d written a load of fresh songs and it’s just come together very quickly. We’re an indie band, rock and rollers, bubblegum swagger!

What is you new single 'Pocket Rocket (Where the light is)' about? (Download Here) (79p bargain)

Pocket Rocket is just one of those older phrases in the English language that people use to describe someone & i hadn’t heard it before and instantly thought it could be a song. The song came from the title, as do a lot of tracks I write. I can see how it should sound by the words. Also it sounds kind of rude, and y’know I like to keep things sexy.

Who produced the single? As i see on Facebook page you have been working with some great producers such as Alan Smyth who's worked with Arctic Monkeys and Pulp. Who did this come about?

Alan Smyth in Sheffield produced it yes. I sent him some emails & a couple of demos and he really liked them so we travelled onto the steel city and recorded it in a 3 day session along with a couple more songs. We’re actually all just waking up in Sheffield now as I write this, just round the corner from him, hungover.

The tour is starting in May with 11 dates all over the place, have you played a tour of this size before?

This is our first tour all together, its definitely going to be epic, we have Sheffield tonight, then Cambridge, Northampton, it just keeps going. We’re also doing some acoustic sessions & radio interviews so it is totally manic.

These are the dates and venues get down and see some new music.

The last gig is back in your home town Leicester that must be fun, have you got much of a fan base up there?

We’ve got great fans & friends in Leicester, our last show in January was a sellout in advance and so now we’ve stepped up to the O2 Academy and it’s looking like it will sell-out too. It’s on Saturday June 16th and will be an epic night.

Finally same question I ask everyone, where did you get the name Little Night Terrors from?

Bone thought it up! We still have no idea. It was as if he was in a trance or something. I would love to say it was passed down by a Mexican druid when we were in the hazy depths of an acid binge but alas, it was not.

Thanks for the time lads hope the tour and single goes well.

Legend thanks mate. The single is doing great & is currently riding high in the itunes alternative chart, we’re up against Noel Gallagher, Lana Del Rey & The Vaccines and all the other big names.
